This past week the STEM Food and Ag Council of STEMconnector sponsored its first ever #AGIs Town Hall Event, held at the Jack Morton Arena on Thursday, April 27. This even invited local area college and high school students and was live streamed across the world, garnering over six thousand views, reaching close to nine thousand people. Speakers at the event included Dr. Robb Fraley from Monsanto, Dr. Celeste Clark from the Kellogg Company (Retired), Dr. Taylor Wallace from Think Healthy Group, Chantel Simpson from STEMconnector, Michael D’Ambrose from ADM and Sarah Schellpeper from Smithfield Foods. Each of the speaker spoke candidly about their individual journeys into the realms of STEM and agriculture and the importance of encouraging today’s youth to seek the jobs of tomorrow within the field.
