As a life-long beef producer Maci Lienemann's future goals and aspirations are greatly influenced by her desire to improve practice, products and policies surrounding the beef industry. Her academic goal is to obtain an advanced degree in animal science – genetics. Maci's research interests are focused on genetic improvements in livestock through biotechnology. In her future career she hopes to develop and/or improve genetic based bio-technologies that will allow producers early on, to make the best breeding/management decisions to be as efficient, profitable and sustainable as possible. Additionally, Maci aspires to hold an office in a leading industry organization, such as the National Cattlemen's Beef Association and/or the American Society of Animal Science. She is motivated by the future opportunities within the animal science field as a whole, and the knowledge to be gained at a post-secondary level.
